[b]Six killed in shootouts in Pak tribal area[/b]

[b]Islamabad, 24 April, (Asiantribune.com):[/b] At least Six people including two security personnel were killed Sunday in two shootouts in Maranshah, headquarters of North Waziristan Agency on the Pak-Afghan border.
The first shootout occurred when soldiers, checking a passenger van near Miranshah, asked an armed passenger to be checked. The passenger refused and opened fire with a rifle injuring two paramilitary soldiers. The soldiers retaliated, killing the gunman and two others. One of the wounded soldiers later died.
Security was tightened after the clash and helicopter gunships flew in the area.
