Tamil Progressive Alliance To Strengthen the Hands Sajit Premadasa

Colombo, 10 July, (Asiantribune.com):

Tamil Progressive Alliance supports the Samagi Jana Balavegaya and its leader Sajit Premadasa to form a progressive government after 5th of August, says one of the leaders of the Tamil Progressive Alliance and the leader of the Up-Country Tamil Front, Akandhan Velusami Radhakrishnan.

Radhakrishnan, a former parliamentarian and a former state minister emphasized that almost 90% of the Tamils would vote to support Sajit Premadasa winning to form a government to preserve democracy in the country.

He said, as far as the upcountry Tamils are concern, they support the Tamils Progressive Alliance.

He told ‘Asian Tribune’ that in the Nuwara Eliya district, he would retain his seat and the other two candidates from National Union of Workers Party, a former Minister P. Thigamparam and Uthayakumar would win hands down.

Radhakrishnan added that Arunthavakumar also of the Up-Country Peoples Front will win in the Badulla electoral district and Velu Kumar of the Democratic People's Front, who polled more than 62,000 votes in the last parliamentary election, would easily win the seat from the Kandy electoral district.

The Leader of the Democratic People's Front, and Tamil Progressive Alliance, who was a former MP and the Minister - Mano Ganesan would easily triumph from the Colombo electoral district.

He further added the former MP Thilakarasa’s name has been included in the Party’s national list and a total of 7 Tamil Progressive Alliance would be there, with Sajith Premadasa to form a Government.
