Sri Lanka: COVID-19 cases rise to 2047

Colombo, 01 July, (Asiantribune.com):

Five new persons had tested positive for the COVID 19, stated the Epidemiology Unit (on 30th June) Accordingly, the total number of COVID-19 positive patients in the country stands at 2047.

The latest cases have been detected among recent arrivals from Oman, confirmed the Health Ministry.

Currently, 325 active cases are under medical care at selected hospitals across the island.

With 33 more patients regaining their health and being discharged from their respective hospitals today (30), the tally of recoveries in the country has reached 1,711.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka has witnessed 11 deaths from the virus thus far.
