Sri Lanka COVID – 19: Total Tally Increased By 13 to 1633

Colombo, 01 June, (Asian Tribune.com):

Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 cases total increased to 1,633 Sunday with 13 more persons testing positive for the coronavirus, the Health Ministry said.

According to the Epidemiology Unit 9 of the new cases are foreign returnees and the other 4 are Navy personnel.

Meanwhile, twenty patients who had been receiving treatment for the virus were discharged from their respective hospitals today (31) as the tally of recoveries in the country reached 801.

A total of 822 active cases are under medical care at selected hospitals across the island, according to the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry.

Sri Lanka reported its 10th COVID-19 death on May 25 as a 51-year-old woman who had arrived in the country from Kuwait succumbed to the disease.

A total of 63,935 PCR tests have been conducted to detect Covid-19 infected persons from February 18 to May 30, according to the Health Promotion Bureau report.
