Sri Lanka: The number of COVID-19 patients in Sri Lanka rose to 1558

Colombo, 30 May, (Asiantribune.com):

The number of COVID-19 patients in Sri Lanka rose to 1558,after 18 people tested positive for the virus on Friday 29th, the Health Ministry said.

Among the 28 patients who tested positive for the virus and among them, 17 are Navy personnel and 11 were expatriates, who returned to the country the ministry noted.

Earlier today (29), nine coronavirus patients were discharged from the Colombo East Base Hospital, Navy Hospital and Homagama Base Hospital as they had recovered completely. This brought the recoveries tally to 754.

The number of actives cases currently under medical accordingly stands at 794.

Sri Lanka reported its 10th COVID-19 death on Monday (25) as a 51-year-old woman who had arrived in the country from Kuwait succumbed to the disease.
