COVID - 19 in Sri Lanka: Tally rises to 1,182

Colombo, 26 May, (Asiantribune.com):

Forty-one new cases of COVID-19 have been identified so far within the day.

Further to the increased number of positive COVID 19 infected patients the tally of confirmed cases in Sri Lanka rise to 1,182.

The Ministry of Health said that all new positive cases are returnees from Kuwait.

It said, they were found from the Minneriya quarantine centre.

He said she was in quarantine.

A total of 477 patients who have tested positive for the virus are currently under medical care while the number of recoveries in the country stands at 695.

The 10th death due to the virus was reported in Sri Lanka today (25th May) after a 52-year-old woman, who had returned from Kuwait and had been undergoing quarantine at the Trincomalee center, succumbed to the virus yesterday evening.
