COVID - 19 situation is under control - Director General Health Services, Sri Lanka

By Manjari Peiris
Colombo, 21 May, (Asiantribune.com):

Apart from those among Navy personnel, no community infections of COVID 19 are being reported from the country, says Director-General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe.

Therefore, it is clear that apart from infectious persons among Navy personnel, the COVID-19 outbreak situation in Sri Lanka is under control, he said.

As such the focus of the health authorities is on controlling the infection within the Sri Lanka Navy and containing the virus from spreading to the community, said the Director-General.

Dr. Jasinghe pointed out that all 35 persons who were identified to have contracted the COVID-19 virus are Navy personnel.

Stay Safe, Stay at Home, Stay Informed, But Don't Forget to Wash Your Hands.
