Number of COVID 19 patients detected in Sri Lanka rose to 991.

Colombol, 19 May, (Asiantribune.com):

The Ministry of Health said that 10 new coronavirus patients were detected in Sri Lanka yesterday (Monday).

With the new cases, the count of COVID-19 cases identified today (18) rises to 10. Previously, 5 Navy personnel were reported to have contracted the disease.

Thereby the total count of novel coronavirus cases reported in Sri Lanka has moved to 991.

The number of recoveries in the country rose to 559 earlier today while a total of 418 active cases are currently under medical care.

According to the Health Ministry, around 1,254 PCR tests were carried out yesterday and 21 new cases were identified within yesterday.

The number of fatalities due to the virus in Sri Lanka is 09.
