Lanka President Sirisena wants Commission to investigate deposed government

Colombo, 12 December, (Asiantribune.com):

Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has called for a commission to investigate bribery and corruption under the deposed Ranil Wickremesinghe government.

President Sirisena called for a Commission during his meeting with UPFA group on the evening of 11 December.

President Sirisena also informed the UPFA MPs to be prepared for elections ‘whatever the decision of the Supreme Court on dissolution of Parliament’.

President Sirisena also informed that when names of individuals involved in the bond scam began to be revealed, PM Wickremesinghe has influenced the investigation officers. He also added that government employees too will receive year-end bonuses.
