Irate President fumes over Cashew-nuts and Embassy staffs for not responding to phone calls

Colombo, 19 September, (Asiantribune.com):

Irate Sri Lankan President Maithripala Srisena, has since of late, continuously vent his anger first time on the cashew nuts served to him in a Sri Lankan Flight and also ordered the recall of the entire staffs of the Sri Lankan Embassy in Austria for not responding to telephone calls.

While confirming that the entire staff of the Sri Lankan Embassy in Austria, including its Ambassador was recalled, President Maithripala Sirisena said that he ordered to do so, as the president’s office staffs were trying to contact in vain the Embassy in Vienna, Austria, for four and a half hours, because he wanted to speak with the Sri Lankan Ambassador there.

“However, no one in the Embassy was available to respond to at least one of the six phones at the embassy. Therefore, the entire Sri Lankan staff from the ambassador to the laborer was recalled. The staff will return soon. I made this order to send a message to other embassies as well,” he said.

Recently, President Maithripala Sirisena has vent his anger on the cashew nuts served to him, during a recent trip with Sri Lankan Airlines. He said that he was treated to some cashews which were not fit for human consumption.

Speaking at a farmers' event at Hambantota on Monday, the President said the offending products were served to him during a flight from the Nepalese capital Kathmandu to Colombo last week.

"When I returned from Nepal, they served some cashew nuts on the plane. Let alone humans, even dogs can't eat those cashews. Who approved the cashew? Who is responsible for this?" he asked.
