Sri Lankan president Maithripala Sirisena wished DMK chief M Karunanidhi a speedy recovery

Chennai, 30 July, (Asiatribune.com):

Provincial Councilor Senthil Thondaman and his father Arumugam Thondanan MP and Leader of Ceylon Workers Congress visited Kauvery Hospital in the city and conveyed the wishes of Sirisena.

Both submitted a letter from Sri Lanka President Sirisena to DMK working President MK Stalin wishing speedy recovery to Karunanidhi.

Senthil Thondaman, Chief Minister (in-charge) of Uva province visited along with Arumugam Thodaman MP, Kauvery Hospital in the city and conveyed the wishes of Sirisena.

Wishing speedy recovery to ailing Karunanidhi, Arumugam and Senthil Thondamans handed over a letter from President Sirisena to M.K. Stalin, the Working President of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK)

Emerging from the hospital, he said, “I conveyed the wishes of Sri Lankan president Maithripala Sirisena for Karunanidhi to recover soon. I also conveyed the prayers of Sri Lankan people.”

“He is my longtime friend. He will return home in two days. I wish him live for 100 years,” Arumugam Thondaman told reporters.
