Sri Lanka Army To Release more lands in Jaffna Districts in June 2018

Jaffna, 22 May, (Asiantribune.com) :

Sri Lanka Army has decided to release some more lands, in three separate locations in the Vasavilan area located in the Jaffna district.

Major General Dharshana Hettiarachchi, the Security Forces Commander, Jaffna, speaking to ‘Asian Tribune’ told that they have decided to release in two locations in Palaly North in the J 254 Grama Servaka Division and also in the North of this location, on the beach side another 120 perches for the Catholic church – St Mary’s Church.

Earlier he said, there was a school in that areas where they intend to release the land and later that school has been completely destroyed due to the last Tsunami in the latter part of

In another location, S.F. Commander said that they intend to release 12 acres of land in the J 245 Grama Servaka Division, in the Kadduwan Road located in the in Vasavilan West area.

He said that in this location they are also releasing the Hindu Temple Gnanavairavar Kovil too.

Major General Dharshana Hettiarachchi said that the Army is releasing these lands on popular requests and at present making necessary arrangements to release these lands by shifting the boundaries of those lands to the lands controlled by the Army.

He said that the release of these lands are tentatively earmarked for the month of June 2018.
