Body of a female LTTE cadre found - Yala

Colombo, 06 December, (Asiantribune.com): One LTTE woman cadres dead body was found yesterday evening in the deep Yala jungle by Army Commandos, Military Official said. The body was found by troops who were engaged in a search operation in the Debaraduwa area, some 30 km inside the Yala jungle around 5.10 this evening on 05 December, also they found a light machine gun (LMG) in the same area.

They also found pots and pans used for cooking purpose, 3 sarongs, 10 pair slippers and 3 eva packets.

Earlier on Monday, 30 km north of Yala sanctuary, Army commandos confronted face to face with 10 LTTE cadres. Military officials said that during the confrontation they expected more LTTE causalities.

Military Spokesperson Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said that Sri Lanka Army is determined to eliminate LTTE terrorists who have infiltrated into to Yala sanctuary.
