Calling all peace lovers!

By S.H.Moulana - Riyadh.

What you are going to read below is exclusively for the large majority who loves peace, and by any chance if you are not one of this huge multitudes of people, still you can read and see what it means to maintain peace and harmony in the country.

Here we make a comparison of quotes by one who brought destruction to the world, Adolf Hitler and by the enlightened one Lord Buddha who was by far a symbol of love and peace and was born nearly 2512 years before the former.

Let us start with Adolf Hitler: ‘I do not see why man should not be just as cruel as nature’.

Lord Buddha: ‘The tongue like a sharp knife…..kills without drawing blood’.

Adolf Hitler: ‘Make the lie big, make it simple, keep repeating it, and eventually they will believe it’.

Lord Buddha: ‘Three things cannot be long hidden; the sun, the moon, and the truth’.

Adolf Hitler: ‘It is not truth that matters, but victory’.

Lord Buddha: ‘Better than a thousand hollow words, is one word that brings peace’.

Adolf Hitler: ‘All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach’.

Lord Buddha: ‘However many holy words you read, however many you speak, what good will they do you if you do not act upon them’.

Adolf Hitler: ‘By the skillful and sustained use of propaganda, one can make a people see even heaven as hell or an extremely wretched life as paradise.’

Lord Buddha: ‘It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.’

Adolf Hitler: ‘Hate is more lasting than dislike’.

Lord Buddha: ‘Hatred does not cease by hatred, but only by love; this is the eternal rule’.

Adolf Hitler: ‘Demoralize the enemy from within by surprise, terror, sabotage, assassination. This is the war of the future.’

Lord Buddha: ‘Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned’.

I am positive that all peace lovers will go for the obvious choice here, preached by the enlightened one, the only road map for peace left for us in our beloved island.

I urge all communities to establish a dialogue under the president’s leadership, to iron out all differences, if there are any.

The government in power should treat this as absolutely urgent and of paramount importance, in short, more important than all other matters.

There is no time to waste! Please save our beautiful motherland from all conflicts! May peace and harmony prevail in our island forever!
