Swiss Police are worried about Tiger march to UN after Tigers attacked rival party cadres in Geneva

Geneva, 03 June, (Asiantribune.com): Tamil Tiger agents abroad are going all out to draw crowds from the European Union countries to join in the proposed protest rally outside the UN office in Geneva on 11 June.

The protest march will be held on the opening day of the 5th session of the Human Rights Commission (June 11 to 18.)

This march is an annual event organized essentially by the LTTE to impress the international community. This event is also considered a show of strength of the LTTE to the international community.

According to the organizers the following slogans will be raised at the rally:

* Stop the decimation of the Tamils by the Sri Lanka Government

* Sri Lanka Government has to be brought before the International Courts for its military atrocities

* Sri Lanka Army occupation the Tamil Eelam territory must end and they should leave

* Those countries which have proscribed the LTTE, which is the sole representatives of the Tamils, should now de-proscribe the LTTE

* The liberation voice of the Tamils must be recognized

* The international community should recognize the existing government of the Tamil Eelam Tamils

Appealing to the Tamil expatriates, the Tiger message states that this protest march has very special significance at the crucial time when the Sri Lanka Government is attempting to crush our liberation struggle, and also in decimating the Tamil race completely from the face of Sri Lanka. The message further adds: “We will bring to the attention of the international community by unmasking the true face of the Sri Lanka Government which through military aggression has occupied the traditional lands of the Tamils, destroying the Tamils homes and closing down the main trunk roads.”Velka Tamil Perani poster put out officially by the LTTE for the protest march which will be held on the opening day of the 5th session of the Human Rights Commission (June 11 to 18.) Earlier when the LTTE office in Zurich applied for permission to hold the protest march on 11 June, Asian Tribune learnt that Geneva police refused to give permission to hold the march.

However, subsequently, Thambippillai Namasivayam, Secretary, Tamil Forum, applied and obtained permission to hold the protest March. Sources told “Asian Tribune” that Thambippillai Namasivayam is one of the key LTTE leaders in Switzerland.

The protest March has been named as Velka Tamil Perani (Let Tamil Triumph March).

All the LTTE offices in Europe are making arrangements to bring a large crowd from their countries to participate in the march.

It is learnt from Denmark LTTE organizers have charted a special plane to take the participant to Geneva.

In France LTTE agents are arranging a special charted train from Paris- Geneva.

Similarly in other European countries, LTTE organizers are arranging special transport facilities to urge the Tamil expatriates in those countries to participate in Geneva.

Diplomatic sources in Berne told “Asian Tribune,” that authorities in Switzerland are now reconsidering whether it was a wise act to have granted permission for the LTTE to hold a protest march in Geneva..

Earlier Tigers in Zurich attacked the May day marchers of the PLOTE on the May day and presently LTTE leader in Switzerland Chelliah Kulasekerasingham nom de guerre Kulam is held under the police custody since 03 May.
