Exploded bus passengers getting treatment at Karapitiya and Balapitiya hospitals.

Colombo, 06 January, (Asiantribune.com): The injured passengers of the bomb exploded in a private bus at the Godagama, Ambalangoda in Galle at 2.30 pm are now admitted to the Karapitiya and Balapitiya hospitals.

This is the second bomb explosion took place with the last 24-hours and has killed over 15 and injured several passengers who were travelling from Colombo to Matara. According to sources there were over 50 people inside the bus and 12 passengers with critical injuries have admitted to the Karapitiya hospital.

The hospital sources said that still injured passengers are transported to the hospital.

Meanhile, the injured passengers of the yesterday’s time bomb explosition in a private bus killing six people, admitted to the Colombo National Hospital (CNH) are recovering. Out of eleven passengers tranferred to the CNH, two of them are receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit.

Over 50 people were injured when the bomb exploded in the packed private bus by travelling between Nittambuwa and Giriulla on kandy- Colombo road.

The CNH director Dr. hector Weerasinghe said that the condition of the pateints is improving and they are out of danger.

Among the critically injured there is a nine –year-old boy who sustain head injuries.
