[b]Colombo, 25 April, (Asiantribune.com):[/b] Only after the capture of the Jaffna peninsula, peace talks would be possible. Therefore Tamil youths - boys and girls, join without delay the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam.
This was an appeal by the Tamil National Awakening Society – (hitherto an unknown organization), appeared in Uthayam, a pro- LTTE Tamil language news daily, published from Jaffna, in Sri Lanka.
The Tamil National Awakening Society has released a press statement under the headline "War is the final solution, hastily join the LTTE’s forces."

Along with the peace loving community I too condemn the suicide attack; the tigers are trying to distance themselves from the attack but the tiger supporters’ behaviour confirms that it is them.
Going back to the topic, this statement by the LTT contradicts most statements they released in the past. This statement reiterates that the people force, training, full support everything was just media hype. In fact this statement pictures the real situation back in Jaffna.
Probably this is another attempt to hide behind the public and attack the armed forces. The Tamil populace had a bitter experience when they tactically retreated back in 1995. They (LTTE) used the public as cover and it is pretty obvious that’s what they are trying to do now. There is a real danger that the public may well be used as human shields by both sides.
One can be certain after this kind of statements if and when the war breaks out, all would be “Tamils” being killed considered as tigers. Already most of the recent killings are linked people force or paramilitary groups.
What surprises me most is that the “Tamil populace” living in London don’t want to talk about the escalating situation. They are simply distancing themselves from the “Tamil struggle”.
