Minister Douglas Devananda Called on Janata Party Leader Dr. Subramanian Swamy
Janata Party leader Dr. Subraswamy said that his party which is presently a part of the Opposition National Alliance for Democracy (NDA) will be a part of the Government which is expected to win in the forthcoming Indian Parliament elections expected before the end of this year.
Dr. Subramanian Swamy said this when Minister Douglas Devananda who is also the Secretry General of the Eelam People’s Democratic Front met him yesterday in Colombo.
Dr. Subramanian Swamy, Janata Party Leader is in Colombo to participate in the Defence Seminar organized by the Sri Lankan Army.
The two leaders discussed on the latest political developments connected with Sri Lanka and India and also other matters of mutual interest.
Dr. Subramanian Swamy expressed his appreciation on the correct political approach of Douglas Devananada - Minister of Traditional Industries and Small Enterprise Development.
When contacted, Minister Douglas Devananda, he said that it was a courtesy call on Dr. Subramanian Swamy and they discussed subjects of mutual interest.
Ms. V.S. Chandralekha, State President of Tamil Nadu - Janata Party was also associated in the meeting Minister Douglas Devananda had with Dr. Subramanian Swamy.
