Visit to Sri Lanka by Jairam Ramesh, Minister of Rural Development, Drinking Water and Sanitation of the Government of India

Colombo, 11 July, (Asiantribune.com):

At the invitation of Prof.G.L.Peiris, Minister of External Affairs of Sri Lanka, the Minister of Rural Development, Drinking Water and Sanitation of the Government of India Jairam Ramesh will visit Sri Lanka on 11th to 13th July 2012.

The Visiting Minister will deliver the keynote address at the Seminar on Poverty Alleviation on 12th July 2012, jointly organized by the Lakshman Kadiragamar Institute for International Studies (LKIIRSS) and the Research and Information System for Developing countries (RIS),New Delhi.

At 5.00 p.m. on 12th July 2012, he is scheduled to deliver a public lecture at the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS) on the topic of “Changing Role of India in South Asia.”

During his visit the Indian Minister will call on Mahinda Rajapaksa the President and hold meetings with the Prof.G.L.Peiris Minister of External Affairs and the Hon.Basil Rajapaksa Minister of Economic Development.
