American Idol 2012; will my prediction come right?

Many weeks ago, during its preliminary stages of the current American Idol contest, I said through 'Asian Tribune' that my money is on Jessica and Joshua.

The two have done enough and more to convince judges and the American viewers of their real worth. However, now it looks as if Joshua Ledet is drawing away from the rest.

There are experts who say that Joshua ‘the best ‘American Idol’ singer of all time! ‘I have been doing these eleven years, and you are one of the best singers ever on the show. Ever!’ said one of the judges, Jackson.

According to Lopez, another judge, Joshua is the best singer she has seen in all her life. The way he sang Bee Gees ‘To love somebody’ was absolutely unbelievable. Every time he comes on the stage he just blows it out, let it be anybody’s song, which makes the audience as well as the viewers get emotionally hit and I confess I am no exception. He is one contestant who got the most number of standing ovations of all. He has a classical vocal style, he connects with his songs, and he is versatile.

Sure, some people roll their eyes at the judges when they praise or ‘overhype’ a contestant. But it says a lot when a singer like Joshua can elicit standing ovations from veteran industry folks like Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez, who sheepishly admitted last week, ‘Is it bad for us to say that the Joshua part of the show is our favorite part of the show?’ They don’t just dish that encouragement out to anyone. I personally expect him to win this contest hands down and wish him all the best and my money is still on him, for your information!
