Sri Lanka President Mahind Rajapaksa Arrives in Seoul
Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa and First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa arrived at Seoul Air Base in Seoul, South Korea for a four-day official visit on an invitation extended by his South Korean counterpart, President Lee Myung-Bak this morning.
South Korea's Vice Foreign Minister Kim Sung-han welcomed President Rajapaksa on his arrival at the airport and two Sri Lankan children welcomed the First Lady.
The President was accorded a guard of honor by the South Korean Army.
The visit of the Sri Lanka President to South Korea is as a result of an invitation extended by South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak, said the official government website said here.
President Rajapaksa will hold bilateral discussions with his South Korean counterpart while several agreements will also be signed during his stay in South Korea.
