Tomorrow: President Mahinda Rajapaksa to undertake a state visit to South Korea
President Mahinda Rajapaksa will be leaving to South Korea tomorrow to undertake a state from April 23 to 27 at the invitation of Lee Myung-Bak President of South Korea.
President Rajapaksa will be accompanied by First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa, Ministers Prof. G. L.Peiris, Dullas Alahapperuma, MPs Namal Rajapaksa, Sajin Vaas Gunawardena, Nishantha Muthuhettigama, Roshan Ranasinghe, Sunny Rohana, Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga, Secretary to the Ministry of External Affairs Karunathilaka Amunugama, Secretary to the Ministry of Power and Energy M. M. C. Ferdinando, Sri Lanka Ambassador in South Korea Tissa Wijeratne, Governor of the Central Bank Ajith Nivard Cabraal and Chairman of Airport and Aviation Services Prasanna Wickremasuriya
Also along with the Sri Lanka President about twenty-five to twenty-six Captains of Sri Lankan Business CEOs are also leaving for South Korea.
The welcome ceremony will be taking place on the 24th., followed by President Rajapaksa holding talks with the South Korean President and several bilateral agreements will also be signed. On the same day South Korean President, Lee Myung-Bak will host a state dinner to the visiting Sri Lanka’s President Rajapaksa
On 25th President Mahinda Rajapaksa will participate in a business luncheon co-hosted by four major Business Associations in Seoul and also address the members of the of the business association.
On the same day President Mahinda Rajapaksa will meet with heads of leading trade organizations in South Korea such as Hayundai Motors, Haign, Samsung electronics, LG, Daewoo etc.
On the 26th President Mahinda Rajapaksa will address the Sri Lanka-Korea business forum hosted by the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and also participate in the luncheon in his honor.
On the 27th morning President and his delegation will leave for Colombo.
