American Resolution failed to recognize the contribution of Sri Lankan President to end LTTE terrorists – Dr.Swamy

By K.T.Rajasingham
New Delhi, 22 March, (Asiantribune.com):

Today when America presents the resolution against Sri Lanka in the 19th session of the UN Human Rights Conference, it is learnt that America intends to substitute a clause giving details of the atrocities of the LTTE.

Dr. Subramanian Swamy, Janata Party President when speaking to Asian Tribune said that the first draft of the American resolution is insipid and it is one-sided. He said that the resolution has not got the horrendous atrocities committed by the LTTE for the last 26 years and more. He said that is not sufficient.

He further said that the American resolution also does not recognize the contribution of Sri Lankan President who determinedly brought to an end to LTTE terrorists in Sri Lanka.

Janata Party President Dr. Subramaniam Swamy also said, “Therefore it is best if India brings a substitute resolution urging Sri Lanka’s President to devolve power in the constitution as per the 13th + amendmend and if there are any issues human rights it should be raised bilaterally as the requirement under the SAARC arrangements.”
