[b] Colombo, 29 April, (Asiantribune.com):[/b] Commando forces of the TamilEala Makkal Viduthalai Pulikal (TMVP) have so far carried out four deep penetration missions into the Vanni Tigers' stronghold, according to informed sources. It is learnt that the Deep Penetrating forces of TMVP operates from Vavuniya - Mannar border area.
This is the most feared group by the LTTE. Alerted by the unexpected attacks the Tigers have increased the security of Velupillai Prabhakaran hiding in the Vanni.
He is normally guarded by a battalion of 300 armed guards. He has cut down his public engagements. I heard this kind of storys many times before. This is rather an attempt to discredit TMVP. The military wing is called “TNF” not TMVP as the editorial says.
