New Delhi, 04 May(Asiantribune.com): Some fresh ground was covered in the second round of talks between the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the Hurriyat leaders here on Tuesday. Both sides agreed to 'evolve a mechanism’ to resolve the Kashmir issue ‘peacefully and amicably'.
Though it is not immediately clear whether the Hurriyat would join the second round table conference in Srinagar on May 25, the moderate separatists have expressed satisfaction with the talks and went on record to describe the two-hour long discussions as 'fruitful'.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who led a six-member delegation and presented what he considered as the road map for peace, told reporters that the talks focused on ‘sensitive and important’ issues.
