[b]Toronto, 06 May, (Asiantribune.com): [/b]Canadian Tamils for Peace has appealed to the Tamils in Canada not to fall prey to the tigers but reject the call made by the Canadian Tamil Congress, which is a front organisation of the LTTE, to participate in the Tamil solidarity gathering in Toronto from May 8th to May 14th.
In a statement released to the press, Canadian Tamils for Peace, said: " It can be recalled that in a meeting held at the Scarborough Town Centre, members of the CTC heckled former Premier of Ontario Mr. Bob Rae while he was addressing the crowd. Not only the killings, suicide bombings, child recruitment and extortion by the LTTE in Sri Lankan forced the Canadian Government to ban the LTTE, but also the undemocratic activities of the front organisations of the LTTE in Canada."
Canadian Tamils for Peace pointed out that the so called LTTE front leaders like S. Sithampalam and Nehru Guna have distanced themselves from the LTTE. "Now they are asking the innocent Tamils to participate in the Tamil solidarity gathering. Once again the ban was brought against the LTTE, hence its front organisations ands its leaders have been affected. LTTE is trying to apply its usual method of getting things done their way by intimidation using the Tamils. But the Canadian government will not bow down to the tigers."

Chitraguptam is right.
Even Velu and his gang are building an eelam for whom. Their children definitely will not come back to serve it or to live in it. Then this gang is building shipping businesses and internqational businesses, for whom.
If they really care tamils, they could have built things in those areas.
The same thing is true with diaspora. EELam gives them a sense of belonging to something. Because they don't feel that they are part of the country that they living right now.
Againg they blame and accuse us for racism and for so many other things. AS soon as they stop, they start showing the same racism to us.

There are some retired people who have positions in the LTTE front organizations in Canada. They had previously held govt. positions and then had gone to foreign countries in search of green pasture. Mostly all their children are grown up and well settled in foreign lands, and their children in turn are going to grow up as nationals of the countries where they live, and not as citizens of the so-called 'Tamil Eelam'. They wouldn't have to worry about the plight of the poor Tamils in Sri Lanka. their concern is how to become prominent in the Canadian Tamil community which they would never have achieved if they stayed back in Sri Lanka. The LTTE front organizations became an easy tool for them not only making their names in print (what else?... but the Tamil tabloids!)but also to get some alms for themselves too. Otherwise, their claim that they speak for and represent the Tamils is a big humbug.
I have known many such so-called representatives who do or say things just to be in the limelight of newsmedia.
Poor souls! we shouldn't hate them but have to pity them for God has denied them the qualities that a human should have.(a human should have equal concern for the welfare of others too!) Well, I know that they would say that their concern is for the future generation of SL Tamils and that's the only reason why they support LTTE. But then, if one doesn't have any concern for the present generation, which one sees, feel, and could care for now, how could it be possible that he would have concern for a future generation that is non-existent?

This appeal should go the Tamils all over Europe as well. Little by little the Tamils are realising their folly in supporting the LTTE. Now the people are asking the LTTE chief to disband his outfiit and leave the country for good and join his children.
