[b] Toronto, 16 April, (Asiantribune.com): [/b]Following the listing of the LTTE as a terrorist organization by the Canadian government on April 2006 the Royal Canadian Mounted Police raided the office of World Tamil Movement in Montreal. Forty Police officers swooped down on April 12 in the first raid on the World Tamil Movement which was protected by the previous Liberal government.
The local Police from Montreal too joined in the raid. Jointly they seized computers, files and other documents. LTTE flags and other political material were also seized by the Police.
No one was arrested. However, other LTTE offices too are expected to be raided soon.
The raid has had an immediate impact on the Tamil community. For the first time Senthamarai, a Tamil weekly published from Toronto, carried the news of the raid on the WTM office in Montreal. Another weekly free paper Uthayan wrote an editorial asking: “Who is genuine?” It raised the issue of the loyalty of Tamils in Canada.

Security risks remain in Canada

They're accused of war crimes, links to terrorism, some are even convicted criminals... and they're living among us.
As many as 3,000 people with shady histories, all ordered out of Canada, have reportedly managed to avoid deportation.
Many are serving prison sentences or have cases pending in the courts. But, some are suspected to have slipped underground or left the country without notifying authorities.
One Toronto immigration lawyer says the number is "astonishing". He believes that too many deportation cases are being dragged out in courts through what seems to be an endless appeals process.
The 3,000 people are among a total of nearly 30,000 expulsions that have yet to be carried out by the Canadian Border Services Agency.
Canada's Public Safety Minister, Stockwell Day, has yet to outline how the government plans to address the issue.

I think even in EU will take smiler action like Canada soon, now they will get more helpful information from Canada then they can act to find all evidence easly. If so Norway can't stand for LTT alone, they should act with worldcommunity against terrorist. The result of it will be a ban in FN.

LTTE in Canada knew for time that this was coming. So, they may have removed all the clues.
However, I am sure, RCMP well in advance knew the different methods how LTTE transferred money.
LTTE still extort money from businesses. If those businesses can collect evidence eith by videoing the LTTE agents and other means, court cases can be filed against them and their affiliated organizations.
