Gleanings from V. Anandasangaree : An open letter to Mahinda on CHOGM

In an open letter address to Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa, the veteran Tamil political leader V. Anandasangaree has urged that With the CHOGM conference let Sri Lanka change over to a New Leaf. Let all undemocratic actions such as violation of human rights, grabbing of lands, demolishing of houses belonging to others and such others that hurt the feelings and sentiments of the minorities be stopped forthwith.

A 11-member Business Mission from India participate in the Commonwealth Business Forum in Sri Lanka

A eleven member high-level Business Mission from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is visiting Colombo from November 11-14 to participate in the Commonwealth Business Forum. This will be the fifth business delegation from CII to visit Sri Lanka in the recent years.
