Human Rights Commissioner Navi Pillay’s Visit to Sri Lanka – Some Reflections

It is with mixed feeling that I read the comments made by Mrs. Navi Pillay, the High Commissioner for Human Rights, following her recent visit to Sri Lanka. I was pleased to note her acknowledgement that she had been accorded excellent cooperation by the Government of Sri Lanka and was able to go “anywhere and see anything she wished to see”.

Navi Pillay recently in Jaffna: Redoing what she has undone by treading on the Kolam. Will she comes forward to have a change of mind on Sri Lanka sooner or later?
