Colombo, 09 May, (Asiantribune.com):After routing the Tigers from their forward defence camps in Sampur, Trincomalee on Sunday night, Col Karuna presided over a conference of his commanders and decided to continue their attacks until the Vanni Tigers leave the East.
Thooyavan told the Asian Tribune that Senior Commander ‘Sinna’ Jeyam, Special Commander Kuperan alias Pilliyan, Overall military commander Markan and commanders Mangalam Master, Sinnathamby, Riyaseelan and Iniyabarathi participated in the special conference. The Vanni Tigers were caught off guard in the lightning strike on Sunday. Asian Tribune reported exclusively that while they attacked the TVMP camps located in the Kandalkaadu on 30 April, Commanders Sinnathamby and Marckan were deployed on a special mission on 29 midnight. The team led by Commander Marckan passed through Thonithandamadhu to reach the Muthur area for this planned attack. The Tigers were focusing on their attacks on TVMP camps. TVMP admitted loses in this attack. But the Tigers were totally unaware that the TVMP forces were on their way to attack them in Sampur.

Exactly the strategy the SL Army should follow in the coming war.
The key word is "lightening strike". NO time NGOs to cry to the intl comm about dying terrorists!
We should attack the enemy when they least expect it and where they least expect it.
This should make victory over the terrorists that much more easier.

LTTW (Libration Tigers of Tamils in Wanni), never beleave that they will face this situation like today. I think if Karuna win his war against LTTW and LTTW driven off from East, then LTTW is only in Wanni. How it's possible to say that they are still the leders for tamils. As Anton Balasingam mentioned that more 70% of the tamil area controlled by them, ofcourse they controlled all tamils with their killing machine.
In the bigenning of 80's the Jaffna campus made a judgement that the LTTE make their politics in gunpoint, it's still true.
